Delicate forged vines of oxidized silver are wrapped with sparkling gray labradorite. I used gold wire to do the wrapping, which creates a subtle and unique contrast to the darkened silver. Delicate and unique. Measure 2". Handmade shepherd hook earwires. 14k gold fill and sterling silver, which has been oxidized and hand polished to create an antique finish.

About labradorite: Labradorite is truly a fascinatingly beautiful mineral. Its a mineral whose charm is not fully noticed and may be overlooked if not viewed from the proper position. When the light hits this plain gray stone, flashes of blue, yellow and green, called labradorescence are revealed. Labradorite was first found in 1770 on the Labrador Peninsula in Canada. It is also found in Norway, and the former USSR. Legend says that Labradorite is a power stone, allowing you to see through illusions and determine the actual form of your dreams and goals. Sounds good to me!

About 14k gold fill: 14K gold filled wire is a professional jewelers grade wire.  Gold filled wire is not plated. It is a tube of solid 14K gold mechanically bonded to a brass or silver base. There is 100 times more gold in gold filled than in gold plate wire. This layer of gold must be a minimum of 1/20th of the total metal weight to be called gold filled. The color looks exactly like 14k gold.  It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewelry.
